AT&T and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Sponsorship of San Antonio's Comprehensive Technology Convention
Posted March 3, 2011

TechCon International proudly presents AT&T and The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) as sponsors for this year's technology convention. TechCon 2011 is the first technology convention of its kind, offering South Texas a forum to explore the latest industry trends and resources.

San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce continually advocates for the success of local, Hispanic-owned businesses. Their organization is a pathway to helping Hispanic entrepreneurs, like TechCon 2011's founder, Xavier Gonzales, grow their businesses and ideas within the San Antonio community. Xavier, a native San Antonian, says "San Antonio has one of the most diverse technology sectors in the world; our goal is to showcase the great tech that is developed, manufactured and marketed locally."

He continues, "Business and education is at the core of the TechCon 2011 event. Businesses are invited to experience the technology that will shape their future operations and we want to inspire our students to continue with their education and prepare for careers in technology fields such as engineering and information systems".

AT&T Communications
As a leader in the mobile technology industry, AT&T's support of TechCon2011 is an exceptional honor. With their innovative mobile technologies and distinct products, AT&T's sponsorship of TechCon2011 is an excellent platform for the variety of technology products, services, and ideas to be displayed at this year's conference.

Partnerships
In partnership with SAHCC and AT&T, TechCon 2011 will allow both industry leaders and students an opportunity to share their inventions and talents with local patrons. With both AT&T and SAHCC on their sponsorship board, TechCon 2011 is pleased to make access to this event complimentary for all students. "San Antonio is home to some of best Universities in the world for science and medicine. One of the main goals of the TechCon is to open the lines of communication between students and these institutions. That is why we have invited the UTSA CITE to showcase their students' work" says Xavier.

Location
Held at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium August 30, 2011 to September 1, 2011; TechCon 2011 is a comprehensive technology forum developed to showcase the technology products, services, and ideas that make Texas a leader in innovation. Educational institutions, medical professionals, business owners, consumers, and automobile shoppers will explore the latest in industry innovations and trends.

Science, Technology & Medical Education in Texas

A spotlight on education and future employment
Posted February 5, 2011

Texas is home to some of the best universities in the nation. These institutions are leaders in educating our youth in the fields of science, technology, and medicine. They are constantly changing and adding new curriculums to meet the needs of the marketplace to provide businesses with competitive and talented individuals. TechCon International recognizes that new developments in products and services begin at these institutions and it is our goal to promote their contributions in the San Antonio and Central Texas markets. TechCon will host exhibits reserved to showcase the best new products designed and developed by local students.

Medical Technology & Education
San Antonio has one of the largest medical communities in the world. With a well-respected medical school located here, new procedures and equipment are often developed, tested and implemented in San Antonio first. There are also hundreds of medical support businesses that need talented medical personnel and assistants to fill positions. As new developments are implemented in the medical field, students entering the workforce need training on how to effectively prepare patients for examinations, help doctors during exams, and explain procedures to patients.

Student Involvement
One of TechCon's main goals is to expose Texas students to the most innovative and current technology. To facilitate the exposure, the event is free to all area students. We have contacted multiple schools and hope that everyone with an interest in science, math, and technology will attend. In addition, college and university students are also invited, at no charge.

Registration
Students attending the TechCon must register prior to attending. [ Register Here ]

Technology Convention in San Antonio, Texas

A spotlight on technology for education, business and consumers
Posted January 14, 2011

This convention marks a new chapter in the history of San Antonio. For the first time, South Texas will be presented with a comprehensive technology forum for educational institutions, medical professionals, business owners, consumers and automobile shoppers. At the TechCon2011, exhibitors from all over Texas are welcome to showcase the technology products, services, and ideas that make Texas a leader in innovation.

While the convention focuses on technology manufactured and developed in Texas, it also recognizes products sold in Texas from around the world. Those products also enrich our lives and businesses and those who sell such technology products are also welcome to exhibit.

This year's TechCon will be the first event of its kind, held in San Antonio, and our staff is gearing up to make the event as seamless as possible. There will be challenges, but we intend to meet them head-on.

The following list depicts our strategy for meeting those challenges:

1. Identify institutions and businesses that are heavily involved in technology and its application for education, business and consumers.

2. Continue to expose the event to the educational and business communities to maximize involvement.

3. Invite the general public to the conference to explore the latest in technology products and services manufactured and sold in Texas.

4. Make the event free of charge to ALL students in Texas, as they will be the future leaders in the advancement of technology and science.
